In our Bar/Bat Mitzvah program, we teach students using live video with a trained Rabbi Instructor. Your child will be able to attend his/her Bar/Bat Mitzvah class from the comfort of your own home, mastering his/her Bar/Bat Mitzvah portion, reading Hebrew with ease, and receiving all the tools & support needed to succeed, including: Course pdf’s, recordings of Torah Portions, Torah Blessings etc.

All lessons are virtual, conducted live, one-on-one online to ensure personal attention and to keep things at a pace that works for the student’s individual needs.

Between 30 minutes-an hour long. We will work with you and create a schedule that fits your needs. A typical lesson is about 45 minutes, but this can be adjusted based on your preferences.

Depending on the reading level of the student and how much he/she intends to learn for the day of his/her event. The optimal preparation time can vary from six months to one and a half years. The sooner the lessons start the less pressure it will be on the Bar/Bat Mitzvah boy/girl. Please keep in mind, though, that there are all types of options to tailor to your child’s needs.

No problem at all! We have worked with many students in the past 25 years, preparing for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah with different levels of Hebrew reading. Our fun and simple method of teaching Hebrew will enable your child to proudly get up in front of the synagogue and read his/her portion with confidence. If there is not enough time available for your child to learn how to read Hebrew, we can prepare him/her quickly on how to be called up to the Torah for an Aliyah and read the Torah Blessings with transliteration.

Rabbi Yakira may officiate the service, or we will happily set you up with a synagogue of your choice or introduce you to a Rabbi and synagogue in your area and help make arrangements for the service.
