I am passionate about helping English speakers – beginners and advanced Hebrew students – go from feeling overwhelmed by their continuous Hebrew learning efforts to becoming confident, fluent Hebrew readers and speakers. I achieve this by teaching Hebrew in fun and easy steps, while fitting into your already busy schedule.
Hi, my name is Yakira, and I was born and raised in Israel. What started off as a two-week vacation in Los Angeles, CA back in the summer of 1995, has morphed into a creative, successful, and rewarding teaching career, with more than a thousand students.

I believe that it is important to learn the Right things, rather than trying to learn Everything. After teaching Hebrew for over 25 years, training kids, adults, and experienced educators, and answering hundreds of Hebrew-related questions, I knew that there was a better way than the "learn more" strategy.
During Covid19, while in quarantine, I’ve decided to fulfill a twenty year old dream come true, and share my self-developed method online by writing this revolutionary text book series LEARN TO READ HEBREW IN 18 STEPS. My simple and effective method helps students quickly and easily master the Hebrew language. The series is designed to help people of all ages and learning abilities.
My self-published books are being used in Hebrew schools in the United States, and has already received the kosher stamp of approval from many well-known respected, accomplished rabbis and authors. Dennis Prager wrote “Original, fun, and effective, this is a superb way to learn to read Hebrew” Rabbi David Wolpe wrote “A clear, lucid and immensely helpful guide to learning Hebrew. Behind this space, I'm a yoga enthusiast, a musician, and follow a vegan lifestyle. Alongside my husband Aaron, I am raising our three home-schooled bilingual daughters. Oh and by the way, even my cat Mia Meow seems to understand Hebrew 🙂
