Rabbi Yakira wears many hats. By interlacing her song-writing skills, graphic design, and teaching expertise, she skillfully and creatively “Introduces Hebrew, the holy tongue, in living color.” – Rabbi Wolpe.
She was born and raised in Israel, and what started off as a two-week vacation in Los Angeles CA. back in the summer of 1995, morphed into 25 years of a successful teaching career, with more than a thousand students. A Hebrew and Judaic specialist at various temples, and leading educational seminars at the NewCAJE Conference.
Alongside her husband Aaron, she is raising their three home-schooled daughters, and their cat Mia Meow, who seems to understand Hebrew quite well.
Yakira was ordained as a rabbi in 2020. LEARN TO READ HEBREW-JEWISH HOLIDAYS- IN 18 STEPS is her third book.
